Gift policy

CMB Monaco enforces a "Gift Policy" in line with the principles of the "Gifts Directive" and the Code of Conduct and Ethics of the Mediobanca Group.

For their own benefit, as well as that of the Bank and its clients, each staff member is required to consistently adhere to this policy. A failure to comply may be considered a violation of internal rules and procedures, resulting in disciplinary measures.

This policy applies to all employees and executives of the CMB MONACO Group and its subsidiaries, including temporary staff, interns, contractors, and all service providers with whom the Bank collaborates.

The term "gift" is defined as anything, tangible or intangible, that has value and is promised, given, or received in the context of professional activity.

Only gifts valued at less than 150 euros may be retained, at the discretion of the staff member.

Gifts that do not meet the requirements set out by the policy, particularly in terms of value (if valued above 150 euros), will be subject to one of the following actions:

  • Return to the client;
  • Donation to a charitable association or nonprofit;
  • Retention by the employee, provided they contribute an amount equal to the difference to a charitable association or nonprofit.
