Francesco Perilli

Career

Francesco Perilli was born in Milan and began his professional career after a two-year experience as a Naval Officer with Costa Armatori. He earned a degree in Economics and Commerce with honors from Bocconi University in Milan and furthered his academic training at New York University.

In February 1985, Francesco Perilli joined Euromobiliare S.p.A., which would later become Equita SIM. He played a key role in the transformation of the company into a securities brokerage firm.

Since 1989, he has been responsible for equity investment advisory services. Starting in 1992, with the expansion of Equita SIM’s activities, he also took on responsibilities in Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Advisory. From 1992 to 2017, he served as General Manager of Equita SIM, and from 1994, he also held the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Additionally, Francesco Perilli was a member of the Board of Directors of Borsa Italiana S.p.A. from April 1996 to December 1997 and served on its Board from April 2017 to March 2021. He was also a member of the executive committee of ASSOSIM from 1994 to 2017.

His career is distinguished by significant contributions to the development of brokerage and financial markets in Italy, as well as important involvement in regulatory bodies and financial associations.
