Alexandra Young

Career

Alexandra Young has been with Mediobanca SpA since February 2011, serving as Group Chief Human Capital, Organization and Change, overseeing around 5,400 employees. She reports to the Group Chief Executive Officer and was an Executive Board Member of Mediobanca SpA from October 2014 to October 2017. She continues to be a permanent guest at the Mediobanca Board of Directors and also participates in the Remuneration and Nomination Committees. 

She handles all Human Capital and Organization activities for Mediobanca Group, including internal communication, DE&I and employee engagement. She liaises with Regulatory Supervisors on Group Remuneration and HR Governance matters. 

Alexandra has been a non-Executive Board Member at Polus Capital Management, an investment management firm specializing in alternative credit strategies, since December 2015 and RAM Active Investments SA, a research-driven investment manager, since February 2018, both part of the Mediobanca Group. 

Previously, Alexandra was Head of Human Resources for Continental Europe, Middle East, and Emerging Markets at Nomura Italia Sim S.p.A. (2008 to 2011), continuing her role from Lehman Brothers International Europe Italian Branch (2002-2008). In this capacity, she supervised 17 jurisdictions, overseeing the full suite of HR services including remuneration, workforce reductions, and DE&I activities. 

From 1995 to 2002, she was Head of Human Resources at BNP Paribas in Milan, managing recruitment, training, career development, payroll, and HR administration. She began her career at JP Morgan in Milan (1992-1995) and the European Community – Joint Research Centre (1991-1992).
